Data Support Technician

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with prior experience providing excellent end user support, especially with Microsoft Office applications, and querying database with SQL; possesses strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform; is proficient with SQL; has a high attention to detail; able to identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently; and can work independently.

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you’ll be responsible for performing IT support functions, maintaining the agency’s website, developing data collection through Cognito Forms and other tools, integrating data with Microsoft 365, developing data aggregation and reporting, providing technical assistance to Network Service Providers (NSP) around data reporting requirements and development of data reports, and developing automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems (MIS) or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience providing excellent end user support, especially with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience querying database with Structured query language (SQL).
  • Understanding of behavioral health services preferred.
  • Experience working in non-profit behavioral health environment a plus.

Essential Job Functions

  • Website Maintenance – Maintain and update website to provide good customer service to its visitors and to promote CFCHS in a positive light. Manage website updates and upgrades, including content, layout, and functionality upgrades.
  • IT Support – Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems identified by staff, NSPs, and stakeholders. Collaborate with IT support vendor as needed. Research and recommend solutions to IT issues, including configuration changes and hardware purchases.
  • IT Inventory – Manage IT Inventory tracking asset allocations. Work with the Finance Department to ensure IT inventory is accurate and all data is up to date.
  • Cognito Forms – Create and update Cognito Forms, develop processes for data collection, notification, and other needs related to Cognito and Microsoft 365 integration to support CFCHS’ needs. Collaborate with other CFCHS Departments to ensure collection processes meet the needs of those Departments.
  • Community Persons Served Satisfaction Surveys (CPSSS) – Develop and maintain data aggregation processes. Create and support ongoing reports, including reports to support Compliance Department.
  • Provider Relations – Provide technical assistance to NSPs relating to compliance with data reporting and PAM 155-2, including report development to assist in assessing reporting problems.
  • Social Media – Develop methods to monitor social media and provide notification to senior management. Monitor social media weekly for any variation of mentions of agency, review negative statements, and bring to attention of CIO and CEO.
  • Projects – Find and create efficiencies using Microsoft Power Platform tools to automate workflows for internal processes, develop data collection and management tools, and Power BI to create dashboards that display effectiveness of newly developed processes and assist with reporting on data collected. Assist CIO with special projects.
  • Presentations & Trainings – Prepare presentations and trainings related to data issues and department policies and procedures, as needed. Present to staff and stakeholders as necessary. Provide internal technical assistance.
  • Emergency Preparedness – Perform assigned duties in relation to the MIS Emergency Preparedness Plan. May include deployment during a disaster.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of data systems and data analysis
  • Strong SQL Language proficiency; web development, including Word Press and ASP.Net
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Power Platform
  • Strong critical thinking skills; independently and effectively analyze, interpret, evaluate, problem-solve, draw conclusions, and make decisions
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently; exhibit high attention to detail
  • Understanding of the principles and practices of collaborative quality improvement/quality assurance
  • In-depth understanding of system of care principles and values
  • Knowledge of Information Systems and security, and HIPAA standards required
  • Above-average oral communication and business writing skills
  • Ability to represent CFCHS well at funder, NSP, and community venues; ability to travel as position requires
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Provide internal and external technical assistance
